had lunch wif jasmin today at china square central. she has been working arnd the area for quite sum time now before commencing on her masters, and we tot it'll be nice to haf lunch together. at abt 10 in the morn, she MSNed me saying tat she's craving for pasta. so we scoured the net for any possible eateries (cos restaurants here are juz way over our budget)arnd the area but there were none. in the end, we settled for china square food court wif sum fish soup. the food didnt disappoint and the company couldnt be any better with us toking abt the clique and of course how archipelago sux!
on the way back, i passed by this pushcart wif a guy selling BRAND NEW books, fiction, non-fiction, self-help books for juz $10. yes, $10! i couldnt resist and went to browse wat's available. i was really spoilt for choice, shld i get Guanxi, Stephen king or mitch albom? so this was wat i got instead......
yes, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. i noe, it's a fairly old book but i haven read it yet and have always wanted to so i was presented wif the perfect opportunity. :)
PS: Benoit is dead as all of u noe by now but apparently he killed his family members due to an argument wif his wife over him spending more time at home wif his mentally-disabled son. First of all, as naz said, i dun approve of stuff like tat but i believe he hadbeen frustrated over this situation for a very long time. raising a kid is not easy, moreover a mentally-disabled one. to add salt to injury, his job required him to be away for more than 3/4 of the year but it puts more than juz bread on the table hence he's still doing it, and damn well at that. so this event would never take away the man he is and the image i haf of him. i had the privilege of meeting him once and he came across to be a sincere man even tho he was jet lagged and meeting thousands of pple. RIP Chris, a legend always.
